ShelfNavigator 取説 / Manual

ShelfNavigator は、登録したフォルダを索引して、まとめて閲覧・検索する macOS 用アプリです。ドライブをまたいだ写真・動画・テキストが、フォルダの区切りなく1つの一覧になります。
ShelfNavigator is a macOS app that indexes the folders you register and browses them as one. Photos, videos and text spread across several drives appear in a single grid, with the folder boundaries out of the way.

ShelfNavigator は、登録したフォルダを索引して、まとめて閲覧・検索するアプリです。

ファイルを移動したりコピーしたりはしません。読み取って一覧にするだけで、元のフォルダ構成はそのまま残ります。

English

ShelfNavigator indexes the folders you register so you can browse and search them together.

It never moves or copies your files. It reads them and lists them; your folder structure is left exactly as it was.

フォルダは入れ子で登録できます。ドライブ全体と、その中のプロジェクトフォルダを両方登録すれば、どちらもそれぞれの中身を表示します。
Registered folders may nest. Add a whole drive and a project folder inside it, and each lists its own contents.

ネットワークに接続しません。索引はこの Mac の中だけに保存され、外部へ送信されることはありません。
The app has no network access. The index stays on this Mac and is never sent anywhere.

クイックスタート / Quick Start

  1. サイドバー下部の Add Folder…（⌘O）でフォルダを選ぶ
  2. 索引（スキャン）が自動で始まる
  3. 完了するとサイドバーに件数が表示される
  4. フォルダをもう1つ追加すると、All Files で全部が1つの一覧になる

  1. Choose a folder with Add Folder… (⌘O) at the bottom of the sidebar
  2. Indexing starts on its own
  3. The sidebar shows a count when it finishes
  4. Add a second folder and All Files lists everything together
大きなドライブの初回スキャンには時間がかかります。進行中も一覧は使えて、見つかった順に増えていきます。
The first scan of a large drive takes a while. You can keep using the grid while it runs; results fill in as they are found.

画面概要 / Window Overview

サイドバー / Sidebar

登録したフォルダと Finder タグの一覧。件数付き。
Registered folders and Finder tags, with counts.

グリッド / Grid

サムネイルの一覧。下部のスライダーで大きさを変更。
The thumbnail grid. The slider at the bottom changes tile size.

情報パネル / Info Pane

選択中のファイルの寸法・再生時間・場所・タグ。I で表示切替。
Dimensions, duration, location and tags for the selected file. I toggles it.

検索とフィルタ / Search & Filters

上部の検索欄、種類フィルタ、並び替え。
The search field, kind filter and sort control along the top.

表示モード / View Modes

  • タイル表示（T / ⌘1）— サムネイルを並べる
  • プレビュー表示（P / ⌘2）— 1つを大きく表示し、下部のフィルムストリップで移動

View Modes

  • Tile (T / ⌘1) — a grid of thumbnails
  • Preview (P / ⌘2) — one file large, with a filmstrip below to move through them

選択と表示 / Selecting & Opening

選択 / Selecting

  • クリック — 単一選択 / click to select one
  • ⇧ クリック — 範囲選択 / extend the range
  • ⌘ クリック — 追加・解除 / add or remove one
  • ⌘A — すべて選択 / select all
  • 矢印キーで移動、⇧＋矢印で拡張 / arrows move, shift-arrows extend

開く / Opening

  • Return / ダブルクリック — 既定のアプリで開く / open in the default app
  • Space — 動画の再生・一時停止 / play or pause video
  • F または ⌘⇧R — Finder で表示 / show in Finder
  • I または ⌘⌥I — 情報パネル / toggle the info pane
設定の「開くアプリ」で、種類ごとに使うアプリを指定できます。macOS の既定は変更されません。
Settings → Open With picks an app per file kind. Your macOS defaults are left unchanged.

重複を探す / Finding Duplicates

日本語

ツールバーの Duplicates（⌘⇧D）で、登録した全フォルダを横断して重複を検出します。名前ではなく内容で比較します。

結果画面では、残すファイルを選んでから他をゴミ箱へ移動できます。移動の直前にもう一度バイト単位で照合するので、内容が変わっていたものは自動的に除外されます。

「Duplicate」タグを付けるだけにして、後で Finder で確認することもできます。

Duplicates in the toolbar (⌘⇧D) looks across every registered folder. It compares file contents, not names.

In the results you choose which copy to keep and send the rest to the Trash. Each file is compared byte for byte once more immediately before it is moved, so anything that changed in the meantime is dropped from the operation.

You can also just apply the “Duplicate” tag and review them in Finder later.

削除と取り消し / Trash & Undo

日本語

⌘⌫ でゴミ箱へ移動します。ShelfNavigator がファイルを完全に消去することはありません。

直後であれば ⌘Z で元の場所に戻せます（同じ起動中のみ）。それ以降は Finder のゴミ箱から手動で戻してください。

⌘⌫ moves files to the Trash. ShelfNavigator never deletes anything permanently.

⌘Z puts them back where they were, for as long as the app stays open. After that, restore them from the Finder Trash.

別のボリュームのファイルをゴミ箱へ移すと、そのボリューム上のゴミ箱に入ります。容量が足りない場合は、移動するファイルを選び直すよう確認が出ます。
Files on another volume go to that volume’s Trash. If there is not enough room, the app asks you to choose which files to move.

設定 / Settings

タイル / Tiles

ホバーで動画を再生するかどうか。
Whether video previews start when you hover a tile.

パフォーマンス / Performance

サムネイルのメモリを 256MB〜4GB から選択。多いほどスクロールが滑らかで、メモリを使います。
Thumbnail memory, from 256 MB to 4 GB. More means smoother scrolling and a larger footprint.

サムネイルのキャッシュ / Thumbnail Cache

ディスク使用量の表示と消去。フォルダの登録を解除すると、そのサムネイルは自動で削除されます。
Shows what is on disk and clears it. Unregistering a folder discards its thumbnails automatically.

開くアプリ / Open With

画像・動画・テキストごとに使うアプリを指定。
Pick an app per file kind.

「About」からは、同梱しているオープンソースライブラリのライセンスを確認できます。
About lists the licences of the open-source libraries the app bundles.

困ったとき / Troubleshooting

日本語

  • 一覧に何も出ない — 種類フィルタや検索条件が残っていないか確認してください。絞り込み中はその旨がバーに表示されます
  • 「アクセス許可が必要」と出る — 外付けを繋ぎ直したか、macOS の許可が切れています。その項目から再度許可してください
  • サムネイルが出ない — 破損したファイルや、拡張子と中身が食い違うファイルでは出ないことがあります
  • 件数が想定と違う — フォルダを入れ子で登録している場合、内側のファイルは外側にも含まれるため、合計は一致しません
  • 古い WMV のサムネイルが乱れる — 一部の .wmv（Windows Media Video 9）で、サムネイルにノイズが出ることがあります。ファイルが壊れているわけではなく、再生とプレビューは正常です。この形式は内部の索引が不完全なことが多く、途中の位置から画を取り出す際に生じます

  • The grid is empty — check whether a kind filter or search is still applied; the bar says so while one is active
  • “Access needed” on a folder — the drive was reconnected, or the macOS permission lapsed. Grant access again from that row
  • No thumbnail — damaged files, and files whose extension disagrees with their contents, may not produce one
  • The counts do not add up — with nested folders a file belongs to every folder above it, so the totals deliberately overlap
  • A garbled thumbnail on an old WMV — some .wmv files (Windows Media Video 9) produce a noisy thumbnail. The file is not damaged and playback and preview are unaffected: the format often carries an incomplete index, which can garble a frame taken from partway in
